Just a few steps from the nearby Pass Lueg lies the natural monument known as the "Salzachöfen". This impressive gorge between the Tennengebirge and Hagengebirge mountains, carved into the Dachstein limestone, plunges over 80 meters deep. The rock walls feature numerous giant erosion potholes formed by swirling water currents. At the most breathtaking spot, known as the "Dom", the rock walls appear to almost close entirely. This awe-inspiring natural spectacle captivates visitors of all ages and pairs wonderfully with a visit to the pilgrimage church Maria Brunneck, built in 1763, located at the pass summit

In the Golling district of Torren (from Romanesque "torren" meaning roaring torrent), near the impressive late Gothic pilgrimage church of St. Nikolaus, the Golling Waterfall cascades impressively down two stages, plummeting a total of 75 meters.
Chosen by romantic painters as a favorite subject, the thundering Golling Waterfall is a particularly popular destination and is considered one of the most attractive and romantic natural monuments in the country
